A half day Sightseeing tour of Russe– The tour starts from the Regional Museum of History, where the old town center was located in the past. Around the square there are buildings being national cultural monuments, like the Museum of History, The Secondary School, the Library and the Old Post office. In the middle of the garden you will find the Monument of the fallen in the Bulgarian-Serbian War. It is the most honored soldier’s monument in the region. Then we will stroll along the main street,called “Alexandrovska” to reach The Liberataion Square – the new centre of the town. The Emblematic for the town and most exquisite among all are the Money-earning Building (Now the •Sava Ognyanov• Drama Theatre), The monument of Liberty, Municipality, Opera …etc./
Sightseeing tour of Rousse with Cocktail/Dinner. Depending on what time will be the tour, it could be combined with a Cocktail or a dinner.
By the Cocktail could be offered Bulgarian wine tasting together with a folklore program. The presentation will take place in a traditional Bulgarian restaurant.

Time for Lunch. In the afternoon departure to Ivanovo Rock monastery. The Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo ( Ivanovski skalni tsarkvi) are a group of monolithic churches, chapels and monasteries hewn out of solid rock and completely different from other monastery complexes in Bulgaria, located near the village of Ivanovo, 20 km south of Rousse, on the high rocky banks of the Rusenski Lom, 32 m above the river. The complex is noted for its beautiful and well-preserved medievalfrescoes. Our next stop is Cherven. Middle Ages Fortress Cherven is located about 30 km. south of Ruse, at the road to the town of Dve Mogili, in the region of Polomieto, next to a village of the same name, having it from the Middle Ages.
City tour of Rousse combined with an excursion to Cherven
Half-day tour with lunch, which a city tour of Rousse, followed by a visit to the Rock Monastery of Bassarbovo, after that the tour continues to Cherven, about 30 km from the Danube river and a visit to the medieval fortress in Cherven. In one of the rural houses in the village there will be a tasting of nomemade puff pastry /Banitsa/ and Bulgarian yogurt. Before the return to the ship - lunch in a typical Bulgarian restaurant /Menu with table wine and Folklore/.
Rousse- Arbanassi - Veliko Tarnovo - one day tour – duration: 7,5 hours After breakfast - departure to Veliko Tarnovo. Our first stop will be in Arbanassi, a small village, famous for its characteristic architectural style, well preserved houses, churches and monasteries from 16th - 17th centuries. /Visit the Church of the Nativity in Arbanassi and Konstantsalieva house/. Next comes Veliko Tarnovo - the medieval capital of Bulgaria, magnificently situated on the picturesque banks of the river Yantra. The impressive history of the town can be seen from Tsarevets hill. A well preserved fortress wall goes round the hill, enclosing the numerous archaeological excavations from different ages. A splendid panorama to the numerous basilicas and churches in the town is opened from the fortress towers. The view of the old town is formed by the buildings from 18th - 19th century , situated in terraces on the hills around the river Yantra. Free time along Samovodska charshiya (street), one of the busiest commercial streets of the town from 19th century, from the Bulgarian Revival period. It is full of traditional craftshops, in which old technology and original tools are used. An opportunity to try for lunch the typical cuisine dishes of the region. Free time in Veliko Tarnovo.
The Tomb by Sveshtary– approx. 65 km. away from Rousse.
All day tour with lunch, duration: approx. 7,5 hours.
It begins with a short city tour of Rousse. After that it continues to Sveshtary, 1,5 hours bus driving through the typical landscape of the Region Ludogorie, southeastwards.
The Thracian Tomb by Sveshtary is one of the startling discoveries in 1982.
The tomb consists of: a Corridor, an Anteroom, and a Tomb Chamber. The floor space is 7,50 m long and 4,5 m wide. The Tomb date as far back as IV-III century, BC, and represents the typical Hellenic culture from this epoch.
There are two possibilities this tour to be made as a half-day tour either from 08.00 to 14.00 h or from 14.00 to 19.00 h.
